The Adivasi Seva Samiti, Nashik, was founded on June 1, 1945, by the esteemed freedom fighter and educator, Karmaveer Bhausaheb Hiray. A visionary leader in the fields of education, social service, and the cooperative movement, he played a pivotal role in shaping modern Maharashtra. The institution was established with the mission to uplift the socially marginalized communities through education, with the motto Bahujan Hitay, Bahujan Sukhay (Welfare of the masses). For over seven decades, it has worked tirelessly to provide educational opportunities for the underprivileged, ensuring their integration into mainstream society.
Today, the Adivasi Seva Samiti operates a wide range of educational institutions, including preschools, primary and secondary schools, ashram schools, and agricultural polytechnics, catering to students from marginalized backgrounds. With 59 hostels supporting students from underserved communities, the institution continues to honor its legacy of empowering the tribal and economically disadvantaged sections of society. Under the leadership of Hon’ble Dr. Prashant V. Hiray and other esteemed leaders, the institution remains a beacon of hope and progress in the region.
