Students’ Grievance Redressal Procedure:

  1. Students who feel they have been unfairly treated or discriminated against can submit their grievances.
  2. Complaints should be lodged using the prescribed grievance form available with the Vice-Principal(s) / Dean(s) of the respective department.
  3. The completed grievance form should be submitted in the designated drop box placed outside the library/Vice-Principal’s office.
  4. The Secretary of the Cell will forward the grievance to the committee for review and necessary action.
  5. The grievance will be analyzed confidentially to ensure a fair and impartial resolution.
  6. If required, the concerned student will be given an opportunity to present their case before the committee.
  7. The committee will work towards a resolution and submit a final report to the Principal.
  8. The resolution and corrective measures taken will be communicated to the aggrieved student.
  9. Corrective measures will be implemented to prevent recurrence of similar grievances.

Exclusions:

The Students Grievance Redressal Cell does not entertain grievances related to:

  • Decisions of the Academic Council, Board of Studies, and other academic/administrative committees.
  • Matters concerning scholarships, fee concessions, awards, or medals.
  • Cases related to discipline and misconduct under college regulations.
  • Admission decisions for any courses offered by the college.
  • Examination and assessment result-related issues, as a separate Examination Grievance Cell handles these matters.

This revised policy ensures a well-structured, transparent, and student-centric grievance redressal mechanism, fostering trust and accountability within the institution. Regular monitoring and review of grievances will further strengthen institutional governance and enhance the overall student experience.

1. General Conduct
  • Students must adhere to the college’s code of conduct and maintain discipline within the campus.
  • Any form of misconduct, including harassment, discrimination, or violence, is strictly prohibited.
  • Students are expected to respect faculty members, staff, and fellow students.
  • The use of mobile phones during lectures, examinations, and official events is restricted.
  • Consumption of tobacco, alcohol, or any illegal substances within the college premises is strictly forbidden.
2. Academic Regulations
  • Students must maintain a minimum attendance of 75% in all subjects.
  • Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty during examinations or assignments will result in disciplinary action.
  • Submission of assignments, projects, and coursework must be done within the stipulated deadlines.
  • Ragging is a punishable offense and will be dealt with as per UGC and Maharashtra Government Anti-Ragging Laws.
3. Grievance Redressal Mechanism
  • Students may report grievances related to academics, administration, or student services to the Students’ Grievance Redressal Cell.
  • Complaints should be submitted through the prescribed grievance form available with the Vice-Principal or Dean.
  • A grievance drop box is available outside the library/Vice-Principal’s office for confidential reporting.
  • Anonymous complaints must contain sufficient evidence for action to be taken.
  • The committee will ensure fair, impartial, and confidential investigation and resolution of complaints.
4. Prohibited Activities
  • Any form of sexual harassment, bullying, or cyberbullying will be taken seriously and addressed by the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC).
  • Malpractices, including forgery, falsification of documents, or impersonation, are strictly prohibited.
  • Unauthorized gatherings, protests, or disruptive activities within the campus require prior approval from the college administration.
5. Examination and Assessment Rules
  • Students must carry their valid identity cards during examinations.
  • Any use of unfair means during exams will lead to strict disciplinary action, including cancellation of the exam.
  • Re-evaluation or rechecking of answer sheets must be requested as per college regulations.
  • Examination-related grievances should be reported to the Examination Grievance Cell.
6. Use of College Facilities
  • Students are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in classrooms, libraries, and laboratories.
  • College property, including furniture and equipment, should not be damaged or misused.
  • Library books and resources must be returned on time to avoid penalties.
  • Access to computer labs and internet services must be used strictly for academic purposes.
7. Disciplinary Actions
  • Violation of any college rule may lead to suspension, expulsion, or legal action.
  • The college reserves the right to take strict disciplinary action against students found guilty of misconduct.
  • Parents/guardians will be informed in cases of serious violations of discipline.
  • Any appeal against disciplinary action must be submitted in writing to the Students’ Grievance Redressal Cell.
8. Student Support Services
  • The college offers counseling services for students facing academic, personal, or emotional challenges.
  • Career guidance and placement assistance are available for students seeking professional opportunities.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities to enhance their overall development.
  • Suggestions for improving student welfare can be submitted to the Student Welfare Committee.
