1. About

The Sakhi Savitri Cell at Adivasi Seva Samittee’s Arts and Commerce College, Wadala, Nashik, is dedicated to empowering and supporting female students and staff by fostering a safe, inclusive, and gender-sensitive academic environment. Named after Savitri Bai Phule, the pioneer of women’s education in India, the cell aims to ensure gender equality, address grievances, and promote women’s rights and well-being within the institution.

2. Objectives of the Sakhi Savitri Cell

    The cell is established with the following key objectives:

  • Women’s Empowerment: Encouraging women to actively participate in academic, social, and leadership roles.
  • Safety & Security: Ensuring a secure campus environment free from harassment, discrimination, and gender-based violence.
  • Awareness & Education: Conducting workshops and seminars on gender equality, legal rights, self-defense, and health issues.
  • Counseling & Support: Providing emotional and psychological support to female students and staff.
  • Career Development: Promoting skill development, entrepreneurship, and career-oriented training for women.
  • Grievance Redressal: Addressing complaints related to gender discrimination, harassment, and workplace issues.
