The initiative "Tribal to Global" is a visionary effort by Adivasi Seva Samittee’s Arts and Commerce College, Wadala, Nashik, aimed at bridging the socio-economic and educational gap between tribal students and the global landscape. The primary objectives of this initiative are:
Adivasi Seva Samittee, a renowned organization dedicated to tribal welfare, has been instrumental in uplifting tribal communities across Nashik district through its network of educational institutions. The Arts and Commerce College, Wadala, located in a tribal-majority region, serves as a beacon of hope for marginalized students.
The challenges faced by tribal students include limited access to quality education, lack of exposure to global advancements, digital illiteracy, and socio-economic constraints. Recognizing these hurdles, the institution conceptualized "Tribal to Global", a transformational framework designed to provide tribal students with knowledge, skills, and exposure, ensuring their transition from local to global platforms without compromising their cultural identity.
This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes equitable education, skill enhancement, digital inclusion, and internationalization of higher education. The program aims to create a robust academic ecosystem where tribal students not only thrive in the local economy but also compete at national and global levels.
To achieve the set objectives, the institution conducts a wide array of academic, cultural, skill-based, and industry-linked activities, ensuring holistic development and global competence among students. Some of the key activities include:
